Lawrence Doelling is a 28-year fire service veteran and a retired Captain from Palm Beach County (FL) Fire Rescue. He was on the Department’s Special Operations Team for 10 years before being promoted to Operations Captain in 2002. He served in some of the busiest Fire Stations in Palm Beach County and responded to a wide variety of EMS and Fire calls. He transferred to the department’s Training Division, and for nearly three years developed and oversaw five Office Development Academies, among other duties. He has earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Associate Degree in Construction. As an additional detail, CPT Doelling has served on the Palm Beach County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team for six years and was the Lead Coordinator for 3 years. He has served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Civil Affairs Specialist and U.S. Air Force Reserves as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician.
