Robert C. Krause's knowledge and experience is built on over 40 years of working in emergency services. He's an active firefighter, fire officer, paramedic, EMS instructor, firefighting instructor, lecturer, researcher and published author. Krause has held positions as an Engine Company Officer, Fire Training Officer, Fire & EMS Academy Program Director and Chief of Emergency Medical Services. Bob is currently assigned as a battalion chief to Battalion 1, A-shift. Dr. Krause's doctoral research focused on firefighter fatalities, identifying common themes, related causes and the development of potential methods to minimize the risk of a fatal incident for firefighters. Dr. Krause’s work in neuroscience research is aimed at preparing emergency services operators to perform at higher levels during intense operational periods that demand elevated levels of physical and mental acuity. As an author, Dr. Krause's work has been published in professional journals, magazines and textbooks.
